A Story of Hope: Baby Aviel

INTRO SECTION

In the early hours of the morning, around 4:00 a.m., a life-changing moment occurred.

A call came from Burundi reporting that a newborn baby had been abandoned in a bush—left alone with no one to care for him.

THE RESCUE

Without hesitation, we said yes.

We immediately contacted our team on the ground, and my sister rushed to the location to rescue the child. That moment marked the beginning of a miracle.

THE BACKGROUND

The baby had been abandoned by a mother facing overwhelming hardship. She lacked support, and the father denied responsibility. After discovering she was HIV positive, fear consumed her—believing the baby may also be infected.

This fear likely led to the heartbreaking decision to abandon her child.

MESSAGE

At 4:00 a.m., we received a call that would change everything.

A newborn baby had been abandoned in a bush in Burundi.

No shelter.
No protection.
No hope.

We had a choice.

And we said YES.

That baby is now safe. His name is Aviel“God is my Father.”

But his story could have ended very differently.

His mother, overwhelmed by poverty, rejection, and illness, believed she had no choice. After discovering she was HIV positive, fear took over. She thought her baby might also be infected.

So she walked away.

But God stepped in.

Today:
✔ Aviel is healthy
✔ He is HIV-free
✔ He is surrounded by love

He laughs. He eats well. He sleeps peacefully.

He is alive because someone cared.
